WINONA, Minn. – The Greater Minnesota Regional Parks and Trail Commission is asking the Legislature for $403,000 to continue building the Bluff Traverse Trail on the Winona bluffs. Alicia Lano, of the Commission, said the funds would go to upper trailhead improvements at the west end of Wincrest Drive and two new trails. The city already has committed $101,000. Lano said funding from city, state and citizen sources has given the project a $1.2 million budget.
