EAU CLAIRE, Wis. — A Ladysmith man charged with firing a bullet into the floor of an Eau Claire home entered a no-contest plea. The judge placed Ethan Channell, 20, on five years of probation. The criminal complaint said that a bullet fired by Channell traveled into the basement and hurt a 23-year-old woman. Channell was charged with reckless injury by use of a dangerous weapon. The incident was May 3 in the 2000 block of Fourth Street in Eau Claire.
