WABASHA, Minn. – James E. Abbott, 67, of Wabasha, died at home. He graduated from the College of Saint Thomas in 1975 in business administration and from the University of Minnesota in 1978 in mortuary science in. He worked at Clasen-Jordan Mortuary in Austin and later at Adams Funeral Home in Adams. In 1989, he purchased Abbott Funeral Home and Abbott Furniture from his father and moved to Wabasha. He was a board member at St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center. He served on the Wabasha Economic Development Authority, the city Street Commission.
