Grass fire. Firefighters from Stewartville and Rochester extinguished a grass and brush fire at First Street Southeast and Fourth Avenue Southeast. The fire broke out near a home, but was contained without damage or injuries. Meanwhile, burn bans are in effect for 12 Iowa counties, mostly along the Minnesota border.
