ST. PAUL, Minn. – Governor Tim Walz said he stands ready to call a special session of the Legislature to pass an aid package to deal with the coronavirus crisis. All he needs, Walz said, is to get word that Democrats and Republicans are in sight of a compromise on the packages each is developing. The competing bills could be ready by next Tuesday, Walz said. The governor noted that a stronger than expected state budget forecast speaks favorably to “bipartisan momentum.”

Walz. Optimistic about compromises for aid package.
