LAKE CITY, Minn. – First-responders waded into Lake Pepin at Roschen Park and pulled the driver from a submerged car. The driver was hoisted onto a rescue boat and taken to the Lake City hospital for evaluation. This was about 5:45 p.m. Police Chief Cory Kubista believed the driver deliberately ran into the lake. The Roschen Park boat landing was closed several hours. The park is on south end of town where U.S. Highway 61 takes a sharp turn.
