MINNESOTA CITY, Minn. – Sheriff’s investigators began tracking a scammer who bilked $37,000 from a Minnesota City man. The man had bought an iPhone and then received a call from a person purporting to be with Apple support. The scammer said that the v=man’s phone and bank accounts had been hacked. To resolve the problem, Apple needed bank information. The man complied. Soon there was $37,000 missing from various accounts.
