ST. PAUL, Minn. – The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension released the name of the State Patrol trooper who discharged his firearm during a nine-hour active shooter incident in Albert Lea.He was Steven Quern, who has been with the Patrol 15 years. Quern is on administrative leave when the circumstances are investigated.
