FARIBAULT, Minn. — A 64-year-old inmate at the Faribault state prison died at a Rochester hospital of coronavirus. His was the third coronavirus-related death at the prison, where 481 inmates are currently infected. Also infected are 67 staff members. The name of the inmate was not released until his family could be notified. The state prisons commissioner, Paul Schnell, expressed condolences to the man’s family and friends of this man. Schnell said the prison system has aggressive testing and mitigation efforts.
