WINONA, Minn. — Nobody except the combatants seems to know what triggered an assault at the county jail. The incident played itself out as jailers were rushing in. This was about 2:20 p.m. Nobody was injured, at least not seriously. Charged with assault was Marshawn Devon Leverston, age 25. He had been in jail since July on warrants for burglarizing, damaging property, trespassing and obstructing police.
