CARROLLTON, Georgia — The Winona-based industrial supplier Fastenal is building a 900,000-quare foot logistics hub for the Southeast. A ceremonial ground-breaking has been scheduled for a week from Tuesday on greenfield acreage at the industrial park on Carrollton’s West Sde. The $90 million facility will replace an Fastenal aging depot 45 miles away in Atlanta and be almost four times larger. The state-of-art and highly automated new facility, patterned after a recently opened Fastenal distribution hub in Utah, will have 280 employees — compared to 300 at the facility being replaced Atlanta.
