LACROSSE, Wis. – A judge ordered a man accused of a point-bank murder at a downtown LaCrosse bar to go to trial. Judge Elliott Levine ruled there was probable cause to bind Timothy Young over for trial. Young, 31, of Spring Grove, Minnesota, sat silently at the preliminary hearing. Afterward he was returned to jail, where he has been held on $1 million bond. At the hearing Judge Levine saw surveillance video from LaCrosse Bierhaus early the morning of June 27. Police Capt. Dan Kloss narrated the video, which showed Young parking his car outside the bar, approaching bouncer Anthony Fimple at the door, stretching his hand over another customer who was over in line talking to Fimple, and shooting Fimple in the face. Fimple, age 19, never recovered, dying soon thereafter at a hospital emergency room.
