ST. PAUL, Minn. – The FBI said Minnesota-based followers of the Boogaloo movement have been at the Minnesota protests to “perform reconnaissance.” Their goal, the FBI said in a memo to state authorities: To get a sense of law enforcement strategies. Also, the memo said, the Boogaloos wanted to identify “escape points and defensible positions in the event that violence occurred.” The Boogaloos also reconnoitered for “law enforcement sniper locations” that would need to be blown up if a gun battle broke out, the memo warned.
