FOUNTAIN CITY, Wis. – The name of a Kenosha man who died after escaping an apartment fire Wednesday was released by the sheriff. He was Hermanda “Jerral” Richardson, 62, the sheriff said. The cause of death still was listed as an “unspecified medical condition.” Richardson had made it out of the burning building all right but collapsed in the street. Efforts to revive him failed. Whether the trauma of the fore was a factor was yet to be determined.The sheriff also released the name of the second person who fled the fire. He was Nicholas Heit, 25, of Fountain City, who was not injured.

Draped icicles the next day. Fighters drenched the building in the subzero night to control the fire.
