PIERRE, S.D. – Governor Kristi Noem said the state Department of Public Safety will release more information within a week on the hit-and-run death involving the state attorney general. Noem had asked the department to oversee the investigation into the accident. Meanwhile, Attorney General Jason Ravnsborg confirmed he has no intention to resign. Ravnsborg, age 44, a Republican, was elected in 2018. He ran unsuccesfully for the U.S. Senate in 2014. He is a lieutenant colonel in the Army Reserve and served in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Ravnsborg. Pleaded guilty to six speeding infractions in South Dakota between 2014 and 2018. Also two speeding citations in Iowa. Law degree from University of Souh Dakota.
