LACROSSE, Wis. – The 700-store Kwik Trip convenience store chain is buying Stop-N-Go stores in southern Wisconsin and northern Illinois. Stop-N-Go, based in Madison, operates 36 stores. The company was founded in 1963 by Duane and Olympia Bowman. Kwik Trip said some larger Stop-N-Gos will be remolded and rebranded as Kwik Trips as sloon as December, when the deal is consummated. Others will keep the Stop-N-Go name.
