MADISON, WIS. — Governor Tony Evers wants former President Donald Trump and LaCrosse Republican chair William Feehan to reimburse the state $250,000 for legal fees in fending off frivolous claims that the November election was rigged. The claims of a rigged election were thrown out of federal and state courts in December. An attorney for Evers, Jeffrey Mandell, said: “There is no reason for Wisconsin taxpayers to bear the expense of this attempt to hijack the democratic process.” Evers wants $144,000 from Trump and $106,000 from Feehan.
