BYRON, Minn. – Sheriff’s officers were called to break up a teen-age fight near Byron Middle School late about 6:15 p.m. and found one youth stabbed. The wound, in the lower abdomen, was not believed to be serious. The boy, age 14, was taken to the hospital. A companion, age 15, said that he himself narrowly missed being stabbed. Deputies corralled two other boys, one 16, the other 15. They were arrested. One had a knife in his possession, deputies said. Another knife was found near the school. Deputies said the two may face felony assault charges The knife used in the stabbing was a five-inch serrated steak knife, deputies said. About he arrested boys, Behrns said they were no strangers to authorities.
