WABASHA, Minn. – A straight truck and a car collided on Highway 61 at Wabasha, injuring the drivers. The truck driver, Craig James Weaver, 58, of Rochester, and the car driver, Frankly Byers Waller, 32, of Elgin, were treated at the Wabasha hospital and released. The State Patrol said Weaver was southbound and turning his 2020 Kenworth into Wabasha on Highway 60, a long-troubled crossover. Waller, in a 2013 Subaru Outback, was northbound on 61. The State Patrol said road surfaces were dry. The accident was about 4 p.m.
