CHIPPEWA FALLS, Wis. — A Cadott woman and her teen-age son died when their car crossed a median into the path of an 18-wheeler hauling grain. The truck and trailer overturned, closing eastbound State Highway19 six hours at the County Road J exit at Lake Wissota. Killed were Camellia Kelch, 38, and Isaiah Kelch, 13. They were westbound headed toward Chippewa Falls. Both were ejected from their car. The eastbound truck was driven by a Maiden Rock man, age 39. His name was not released immediately. He was uninjured, police said. The accident was about 11 a.m.
Highway 29 blocked. Traffic was rerouted six hours to clear the wreckage and sweep up the load of grain.
