MINNEAPOLIS — A white Brooklyn Center police officer who shot and killed a 20-year black motorist in April, Kim Potter, will go on trial December 6. The date was set by Hennepin County Judge Regina Chu at a preliminary hearing. Potter appeared at the hearing via videoconference. Potter is charged with second-degree manslaughter in the death of Daunte Wright.
