EYOTA, Minn. – Four persons escaped serious injury when their cars collided on the west side of town about 4:55 p.m. The State Patrol said a 2004 Chevrolet Impala driven by Haily Grace Rrieke, 18, of Eyota, and a 2006 Volkswagen Jetta driven by Annicca JoAnne Macmonegie, 19, of Eyota, collided on Highway 42 near the town baseball diamond at Second Street Southwest. Both vehicles were headed south on 42. The drivers were taken to a Rochester hospital to be examined. So were passengers Alexus Ryan Heine, 18, of Eyota, and Kaye Marie Merkel, 53, of Plainview.
