PRESTON, Minn. – In preparation for Memorial Day ceremonies, flags were placed on 500 graves in the six-year-old Veterans Cemetery atop a hillside overlooking Preston. Administrator Robert Gross expects a stream of visitors over the weekend. Pandemic restrictions last year made it difficult for many families of the fallen to connect, Gross said. But now, he said, things are returning to normal.
