RUSHFORD, Minn. – The MiEnergy power co-op asked its 19,000 customers to conserve energy in late afternoons and evenings. The regional grid was expected to be under stress due to high demand in sweltering weather. The most crucial pressure was expected from 2 to 6 p.m. MiEnergy said. The co-op serves parts of Fillmore, Houston and Winona counties in Minnesota and Chickasaw, Howard and Winneshiek counties in Iowa.
