ST. CLOUD, Minn. — The Diocese of St. Cloud filed for bankruptcy to pay settlements totaling $22.5 to clergy-abuse survivors. The diocese announced in 2018 that it would seek Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection but didn’t file documents in U.S. Bankruptcy Court until Monday. Seventy abuse claims against 42 priests go back to the 1950s.
