WINONA, Minn. – Although the Covid’s ferocious Delta variant is present in Winona, the Winona hospital has had not any Covid hospitalizations since May. Even so, the hospital’s chief executive, Rachelle Schutz, encouraged people to be alert and cautious and get vaccinated. “Our hospital has been very busy,” Schultz said in a radio station KWNO interview. “What we don’t want is people getting the virus and actually needing to be hospitalized at a time when the hospital is busy.”
