BEETOWN, Wis. – Two southwest Wisconsin Amish were killed when their buggy was hit by a minivan on Highway 35 east of Beetown near the intersection with Highway 81. Dead at the scene: Linda Miller,52, and Daniel Miller, 12. Three others in the buggy, all members of the same family, were critically injured. They were taken to the Lancaster hospital and then to University Hospital in Madison. With the life-threatening injuries: Mervin Miller, 56; Rachael Miller, 17; and Nathan Miller, 14, Sheriff Nate Dreckman said a 33-year-old Lancaster man was westbound when he rear-ended the buggy.
