LACROSSE, Wis. – The City Council voted 12-1 to rezone the old The Fish Control Laboratory in Riverside Park to a commercial status. The rezoning opens the possibility for the building to be refitted as an entertainment venue, maybe with an AirBnB on the second floor. The lab was built in 1907 to rescue fish from overflowed lands along the Mississippi River and move them to other areas to create fishing opportunities.
