LACROSSE, Wis. – After a pandemic drop in revenue, the LaCrosse airport maybe approaching take-off mode again, albeit slowly. Ian Turner, airport director, said that things aren’t great, but year-to-year revenue losses are easing. April was off 95%, but May was only 90%, June 84%, and July 69%. Also, the number of seats is improving, he said. Delta is offering two flights a day to Minneapolis, and American three to Chicago. Flyer confidence about the pandemic is improving, Turner said, with airlines using larger planes that allow people to social distance better.
