WINONA, Minn. — The Winona Walk to End Alzheimer’s, around Lake Winona on October 9, raised close to its $50,000 goal, said manager Elizabeth Harris. There were 158 participants and 28 teams, she said. The largest fundraising team was Phyllis & Izzy’s Hopeful Honeys at $13,000. Cynthia Bauer and Paula Dobly led the two-person teams at $7,600 in memory of their mother. Harris asked for further donations through December 11 to put the meet the event’s goal.
