ROSEMOUNT, Minn. – President Biden continued his nearly year-long pep talk for Covid vaccinations in a visit to Dakota County Technical College. “We’re going to fight Covid this winter, not with shutdowns and lockdowns but with more widespread vaccination, boosters and testing,” he said. Minnesota currently has one of the sharpest spikes of the virus in the nation. Biden addressed students in a garage at the tech school. With a bulldozer, backhoe and cargo truck in his background, Biden spoke of the thousands of jobs that his new infrastructure legislation will create over the coming decade. “We’re going to need more qualified people,” he told students. He also touted his follow-up legislation, now stalled in Congress, to expand health care coverage, tp enhance job training for community college students, and to offer child-care benefits. He criticized Republicans in Congress as obstacles to these social services reforms and also toclimate reclamation.
