VALLEY VIEW HOT SPRINGS , Colo. – Neil F. Seitz, 67, whose passion was developing the premier clothing-optional Valley View Hot Springs resort, died at his home with a rare early onset dementia. He was born in Winona. While studying engineering at the University of Colorado, he fell in love with the Sangre de Cristo mountains and left school to begin a life-long project to preserve the hot springs for generations as an off-the-grid green resort utilizing hydroelectric power. He expanded the resort by several square miles. He served on the Saguache County Planning Commission and the mountain search and rescue team. He created the Orient Land Trust to preserve the property into perpetuity.
