MADISON, Wis. – Former Altoona schools superintendent Dan Peggs was sentenced to eight years in prison for possession of child pornography. Judge James Peterson called it “a somber day” to have to sentence a former educator for pornography. The victim gave an emotional statement that Peggs had used her image in trafficking porn. “The emotional toll to watch him come and do this to someone his students’ age left a black hole in me,” she said. Peggs, his voice in quivers and in tears, said hehad been in a dark place and was sorry for what he did.
