ALEXANDRIA, Minn. – The sheriff of Minnesota’s largest county, David Hutchinson, was injured seriously in a one-vehicle roll-over on Interstsate 94. Alcohol was involved, said local deputies who investigated. The sheriff was hospitalized in Alexandria. Hutchinson was alone in the vehicle. The vehicle. a county-owned 2021 Ford Explorer, left the roadway one mile east of the main Alexandria I-94 exit about 2:30 a.m. The sheriff, 130 miles from home, was eastbound back to Minneapolis.
