DES MOINES, Iowa – Governor Kim Reynolds issued a disaster proclamation for 43 Iowa counties following wind and tornado damage Wednesday night. The proclamation means $5,000 grants will be available for households with incomes up to twice the federal poverty level. Grants are for home or car repairs, replacement of clothing or food, and temporary housing. These counties Minnesota-bordering counties are included: Allamakee, Howard, Mitchell, Winnebago, Winneshiek and Worth.
