WINONA, Minn. – Most of the Severson Oil Company is being sold after 40 years in business in Winona to Consolidated Energy of La Crosse. Josh Severson president, said the deal includes Severson’s propane, lubricant and wholesale fuel supply businesses. Remaining in the Severson family will. be two Sinclair gas stations, a ProLube Express, and a Winona local fuel delivery service, he said. Severson’s late father, Tom Severson, founded Severson Oil in 1981. Consolidated Energy distributes propane and petroleum products in western Wisconsin, southern Minnesota, and northern Iowa. The company plans to maintain Severson’s locations in Winona and Rushford, said Joel Reinhart of Consolidated. Most Severson employees will be kept on, he said.
