WINONA, Minn. – Firefighters were called to the giant MaltEurop processing plant on West Third Street for an alarm at Oven 17. There was no fire. not even scorching. Apparently, firefighters said, a fire-extinguishing system had malfunctioned. The call was just before midnight.
