WINONA, Minn. — LaVerne Richard Hornberg, 73, of Winona, who liked building houses, died at St. Anne’s nursing home. Over the years he worked for LaVerne worked Peerless Chain, Warner & Swasey, and Ellefson Builders. He grew up in Winona but also lived in Rochester for 10 years and four years in Colorado.
