WINONA Minn. – Sylvia Dianne Richins Cherry, 77, lately of Winona, who owned a folk art shop for several years in St. Johns, Arizona, before losing her sight, died at a nursing in Caledonia. Even after losing her sight, she amassed an astounding collection of scrapbooking materials. Although her first name was Sylvia, she insisted on going by Dianne after watching the cartoon “The Birth of a Toothpick,” in which a tree named Sylvia was turned into a toothpick. She was 5.
