ST. PAUL, Minn. — A judge ordered a suburban Coon Rapids hospital to keep a seriously ill CoVid patient on a respirator. Mercy Hospital had planned to remove Scott Quiner, 55, of Buffalo, from the breathing equipment that was keeping him alive. His wife Anne Quiner went to court, asking for an urgent delay in the doctors’ intentions. She claimed she had said she had been appointed to make her husband’s health care decisions. Judge Jennifer Stanfield complied with a temporary restraining order. Quiner had been in intensive care 68 days.
