HOUSTON, Minn. – Virgil Sherburne, of Houston, whose 37-year career at Ace Telephone, began as a linesman and ended as a sales and marketing manager, died at age 81. He attended the Sheldon country school and then Houston Public schools. He served in the National Guard with Company B 4th Battalion 135th Infantry. In retirement he restored a 1971 black Dodge pickup, then countless other cars. His pride and joy was his award-winning 1955 Ford Crown Victoria.
