GRAND FORK, N.D. – Paul Knight woke up Wednesday morning. There on his snow-covered lawn was a giant red Kmart sign. Everyone knows where the 12-foot logo came from – atop the defunct local Kmart superstore. But who planted it in Knight’s yard oveernight? And why? And, he asks, please come take it away. Knight, who is pastor at Hope Evangelical Covenant Church, surmised that perhaps a parishioner was in a prankster mood. Who says Christians don’t have senses of humor? Even if sometimes inexplicable.

Pastor Knight. With surprise lawn ornament.
