DULUTH, Minn. – The Coast Guard cutter Hollyhock sliced through ice to prepare the Duluth and Superior harbors to commercial shipping. It’s a continuing task. The 225-foot cutter breaks up the ice during the day, but the icerefreezes into jagged chucks at night. The is a buoy tender out of port Huron, Michigan.
