ROCHESTER, Minn. – A woman driver was killed in a collision near Century High School on the Northeast Side. Killed was Cynthia Gomez, 22, of Rochester. Her passenger and the driver of the other vehicle were carried to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The accident, about 1:25 p.m., was on East Circle Drive near Century Valley Road Northeast. Police asked for forensic mapping expert to investigate how the accident happened. It appeared, police said, that a car driven by Dend Kwel, 20, of Rochester, crossed over a median and slammed into the driver side of Gomez’ van.
