WINONA, Minn. – A construction crew hit a natural gas line, which forced the closure of two blocks of Broadway Street on the Near East Side. The blocked-off area was between Market and Lafayette Streets Two blocks on either side of Broadway were also closed. A utility crew clamped off the leak and traffic was allowed back. Nearby houses were checked for natural gas and cleared for occupancy This was about 12:50 p.m.
