CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa. —Police arrested one man for the mass shooting that claimed two lives at a nightclub. Timothy Ladell Rush, 32, was stopped while driving on a Cedar Rapids street. Two officers, their handguns aimed at him, ordered Rush from the car. He complied. As other officers converged in the scene, Rush was forced to the ground and cuffed. he was hauled to the Linn County jail. These charges were filed:

> Murder in the second degree.

> Willfully causing serious injury.

> Intimidation with a dangerous weapon.

> Reckless use of a firearm.

> Possession of a firearm as a felon.

Motive unclear

Police Chief Wayne Jerman said he was confident that the attack was a targeted attack, although, he added, there remain many questions. Twelve people were hit by bullets. Two of them — Michael Valentine, 25, and Nicole Owens, 35, both of Cedar Rapids – died on the scene. There was no reason to believe  the attack was gang-related, Jerman said. Meanwhile, police continued the hunt for a second shooter. It was possible, Jerman said, that there was also a third shooter.
