WINONA, Minn. – Firefighters were called to Kirkland dorm at Winona State University where students again were trapped in a stalled elevator. This was about 10:05 a.m. The same car had become stuck the day before. Janitors said they had reset the car’s controls, but now it happened again. Firefighters watched as janitors again reset the digital controls. The car went to the nearest floor and dropped the students off safely.  The janitors put the unit out of service and called the elevator service company. In the meanwhile, students hoof it as many as four floors.
