WINONA, Minn. – Carlton Daniel “Dan” Foster, who worked at We-No-Nah Canoe and was a carpet-layer contractor, died at age 73. He was in the Navy 22 years, some of the duty on the USS Dubuque and USS New Jersey. Among his hobbies was building large scale, lake-worthy, remote-control model ships. These included the battleships Missouri and Wisconsin and the supercarrier Nimitz complete with year-accurate model planes on deck.
