HOKAH, Minn. – A Brownsville woman was injured when her vehicle left the road and overturned on Highway 26 approaching the Root River slough along the Mississippi River. Margarita Licon, 33, was taken 10 miles by ambulance to a LaCrosse hospital. Her condition was described as non-life threatening. She was headed north toward LaCrescent. This was about 9:35 a.m. She was driving a 2008 Honda CR-V.
