WABASHA, Minn.— A Zumbro Falls man who hammered and stabbed his father to death and stowed the body in the trunk of a car was sentenced to 36 years in prison. James Edward Riley, 46, had been indicted for second-degree murder in 2021. He pleaded guilty this May. Judge Christopher Neisen handed down the sentenec.
